I don’t know why it took me so long to add coconut water to my smoothies, but I have to tell you it is amazing. I usually add almond milk and never thought of adding anything else. That is until Zola sent me samples of their Coconut Water, Coconut Water with Pulp and Acai Oringinal Juice. Zola uses the best coconuts from Thailand and  Acai berries from Brazil. There mission is to travel the world to find the best ingredients for a great tasting beverage.

With the hot summer days and high humity here in Charleston I thought it would be so refreshing to replace my normal almond milk smoothie with coconut water for a cool treat post workout. Coconut water is great post workout, because of  it’s natural hydration and essential electrolytes. I absolutley loved the coconut water in my smoothie.Very refreshing and the taste was sweet but not too sweet. I am now hooked on adding coconut water to my smoothies. I wasn’t a big fan of the Acai, I added it to a smoothie with water, protein powder and banana, but it was too sweet for me.  My husband on the other hand loved it.

Watermelon Smoothie

1 cup watermelon

1 17.5 oz Zola Coconut Water
