Oh man, I don’t even know where to start with this recap. Let’s just say FitBloggin was life changing, yes it was that good. If you are not familiar with FitBloggin’ I talked a little about it here. Although my journey to Portland did not go as a planned (stuck at the airport for 12 hours is not fun), I was relieved to see this as I walked into my hotel room at The Nines.

The Nines - Portland, OR

After a few hours of sleep I woke up for 6am Bootcamp. Surprisingly, I didn’t struggle to get up despite the time change and jet lag. I did however need my coffee and took a short walk to Starbucks before starting my day. Good thing Portland has a Starbucks on every corner.

Bootcamp was a great workout that was held outside. It was a great way to start the day. After Bootcamp it was time for breakfast and day 1 of the conference. The day was packed full of workshops, demos, and small group discussions. I presented the small group discussion on Clean Eating with Nicole from Pepporoni is Not a Vegetable. The discussion went great and I will talk more about in Recap Part II.

Also at the conference where some of the sponsors. I especially loved Blue Diamond Almonds booth. Their Whole Natural Almonds and Almond Milk is a staple in my house. Clark from Quest Nutrition was also there and gave me a sample of the New White Chocolate Raspberry Quest Bar, which was amazing! Quest bars are by far the cleaniest bar on the market in my opinion.

The day ended with Ignite Fitness presentations that were very inspiring. Before I called it a night I headed out to enjoy a Portland beer.

Stay tuned for Day 2 on Friday!
