I can remember running hills as a kid with my dad and sisters. This was part of our training for track and it was not fun. Hill workouts are tough, but add great benefits to your training. According to an article from American Running.org, “Running Hills Can be a Key to Improving Your Performance”, hill training provides aerobic, anaerobic and resistance training all at the same time. This type of workout is also great for interval training and speed work. I still don’t know why I had to run those hills when I was 10, but non the less my dad was a great track coach and knew what he was doing. So here I am today still running hills.
