I wasn’t able to blog while I was in Thailand, but I am back now and want to share with you my journey. The trip was amazing and I enjoyed every aspect; the food, beaches, shopping and night life. I won’t be able to fit my experience into just one post so first I want to talk about the FOOD. Let me just say that Thai food is amazing, if you haven’t tried it yet you must put it on your to-do-list. I also crossed off one of my 30 for 30 goals and finally tried street food. Yeah the street iced coffee was so good :). Sorry that was as daring as I was willing to go with street food. Despite my efforts to protect myself I did end up getting food poising when we went to the beach. Ugh it was not fun, but it only lasted a day. Besides this minor set back I really enjoyed the food. And honestly only 3 of the 4 of us got food poising and we think it may have been from the mojitos.
So lets talk about the food…
One of my favorite dishes was the mango sticky rice. It’s a dessert dish with white sticky rice, sliced mangos and coconut sauce that is poured over topped. I have a picture of it in my pervious post. I also enjoyed the Sweet and Sour Chicken and Pad Thai. Oh and I can’t forget all the fresh smoothies and coconuts.
Mangos look a little different from the ones we see in the States. I like them better!
Hydrating with a Coconut after morning yoga
Yummy Sweet and Sour Chicken
Best Spring Rolls ever. Yes I ate them all!
Pad Thai, I had this dish 3 times. It was that good:)
Green Curry with Rice Noodles
Margarita and Green Curry Pizza by the pool
This is only a glimpse of all the food we consumed. I definitely took time to enjoy my trip without worry about working out or eating clean. Although I enjoyed indulging some I did miss eating clean. Stay tuned for my next post when I talk about it what workouts we did do.
