I told you more Apple recipes would be coming! It didn’t take me long to think of my next apple recipe. I am a huge fan of granola and have finally decided to make my own. This is truly the best way to get a clean granola. My favorite way to eat granola is on top of greek yogurt or sprinkled on my morning oatmeal. You could also simply eat it by the handful or add Almond milk to it for cereal. I love the crunchy texture and how flavorful it is.
Another great benefit of making your own granola is that you can control what goes in it and you know exactly what your getting.
Ingredients Dry: 2C Dried Rolled Oats 1/3C Walnuts 1Tbsp Cinnamon 1/2Tbsp Pumpkin Spice 1/4tsp Sea Salt 1C Dried Apples Wet: 1Tbsp Coconut Oil 1/2C All Natural Apple Sauce 2Tbsp Honey 1tsp Vanilla 1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees. 2. In a large bowl, mix together dry ingredients. Except walnuts you will add those after granola bakes. 3. In a small saucepan, warm the wet ingredients; applesauce , honey, coconut oil, and vanilla extract. 4. Pour the liquid ingredients over the dry ingredients and stir until well combined. Spread the mixture evenly on a large baking sheet. 5. Bake 25-30 minutes, flipping granola every ten minutes. Once Granola is brown remove from oven, and stir in the walnuts. Let the granola cool completely. Store the granola an airtight container.
