Today was a busy day for me starting at 6am with a TRX class. I am not a morning person, but I was looking forward to taking the class, so I took on the challenge of getting up at 5:30am. The class quickly turned into a personal training session because I was the only one who showed up, apparently 6am is not a popular time to workout. It was a tough workout, but I LOVED it. My instructor Maria gave great direction and was also able to tell me what things I should work on. For example, she noticed that I was using my arms more during exercises where I should be using my back, this also showed that my upper traps where over developed. She suggested I try to work on strengthening my middle and lower traps by doing upright rows and cable rows. This is why it is great to have a personal trainer, they see things you don’t and can help you correct them.

TRX pike crunch…killer!

After my TRX class I had to teach a cardio and water class. Yea busy! After that I dropped off my son and headed to my photo shoot. I mentioned on Facebook I had a photo shoot today, but didn’t go into much detail about it. I actually wasn’t sure what I would be doing, but I knew it was for the Cooper River Bridge Run that is held here in Charleston every Spring. Turns out the shoot was for their apparel line that will featured on their website and brochures.
